Head Coach

Jason Hinson

Coach Hinson joined the Panther's staff with Robin Kelsch in 2009, having came from St. Patrick where he served as head coach.  He assumed the role of head coach in Augusta in 2011, and remained through 2015, winning district championships in 2013 and 2014 and a 10th Region All "A" title in 2015.  From 2015-2019, Hinson was the head coach at Bracken County, his alma mater.  Coach Hinson returned to lead the Panther program in 2019.  His team won another 10th Region All "A" title in 2024.

Assistant Coach

Phil White

An alumnus of AHS, Coach White has years of experience invested at all levels of the program, and has coached elementary, middle school, and high school teams.  Coach White joined the varsity staff in the 2005-2006 season and has remained on staff since.  He was inducted to the 10th Region Boys Basketball Hall of Fame with the Class of 2024.

Mason Burden

Coach Burden joined the staff in 2024.  An alumnus of Robertson County, Coach Burden began his career by overseeing youth programs at the YMCA,  Mr. Burden is the Physical Education and Health teacher at AIS.
